Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Boulder BI Brain Trust (BBBT)?
The BBBT is a unique opportunity for representatives of your company to meet in person with some of the industry's most popular and widely respected experts. A BBBT briefing is typically 3 to 4 hours, allowing you the time necessary to get full, candid feedback from the attending experts. Feedback from the brain trust has changed go-to-market strategies, altered product features and defined value propositions for past attendees.

How can my company brief the Brain Trust?
Meetings with the BBBT are in high demand. The group meets twice per month, thus limiting the available opportunities. Interested vendors must complete an application. After reviewing the application, a representative of the BBBT will be in contact to discuss whether your firm qualifies.

Is the briefing in person or WebEx?
One of the unique aspects of the BBBT is that it is person. It is best to plan to arrive the evening before for an 8:30 a.m. kickoff. Generally, 5 to 10 of the experts attend in person.

How much does this cost?
Nothing. In order to maintain a balanced and unbiased relationship with the vendor community, the BBBT does not accept payment of any type.

How long does it last?
The BBBT begins at 8:30 a.m. and generally wraps up at noon, followed by an informal lunch offsite.

What can I expect if I am chosen to participate?
If you are selected, you will be contacted to schedule your briefing date. We will need a company overview and an agenda prior to the presentation. We will have a projector attached to a laptop, so you will need to bring your presentation on a flash drive.

Do I receive any press coverage?
While members of the press do attend BBBT, coverage is completely up to them. However, several of our experts use widely recognized blogs to share details of the meetings with their readers. (Of course, this is dictated by level of NDA). In the past, we have had members of the trust who blog live during briefings. Claudia Imhoff will conduct a podcast interview of approximately 15 minutes at some point during the briefing of your executives, and this podcast will be distributed to both the BBBT website and BeyeNETWORK.com.

Who from my company would be most appropriate to attend?
The BBBT is an executive level briefing. To really glean the value from this opportunity, your company would benefit from appropriate representation. In the past, the types of job titles that have presented include CEO, CMO, CTO and Executive VP of Marketing. It is generally best, although not required, to include a marketing rep as well as a technical rep of your company for the briefing. Video projector and meeting equipment is provided.

Many of the participating companies find it easier to place the BBBT under complete NDA for these briefings to ensure that you can be as candid with us and we will be with you.
